We know how daunting lodging a claim can be – and it’s often at a time when things can be a little chaotic for you, so we want to make the process as painless as possible.
Our new online claim forms mean that you can complete the documents on your phone or computer, with out having to make phone calls or deal with tons of paperwork.
Remember, the more information you can provide us (including receipts and quotes etc), will make the claim process faster and more streamlined.
Once you submit the claim form, it will be emailed to us (at office@tibrokers.co.nz). We will then confirm back to you that we have received your claim form and discuss with you if any further information is required. Once we have checked your submission, we will forward it to your insurer for their consideration. Please remember, that this is effectively a legal document, so all information provided must be true and correct.
From there, your insurer will be in touch with us/your repairer to review the claim.
The complexity of the claim and the information provided, will have a direct bearing on how long it will take to settle your claim.

Firstly, remember people take the first priority. Get out and stay safe! Contact emergency services if necessary. If (and only if) it is safe, you can mitigate further loss (ie: Broken window on Friday night? Get a hammer and board it up). Car broken down in the middle of the road? Call a tow truck. Your policy will more than likely cover you to help mitigate any further losses. If you need an assessor urgently, you can contact our emergency claims team at Crawfords - 0800 524 765. They will contact us the next business day to let us know what happened, if you can’t.
